Fundamentals in Basketball and Vision
We moved to Franklin in the early 90's. Having loved and played basketball, it was no surprise that we found a way to stay close to the sport. Coaching in the recreational leagues led to organizing gym time for players to refine their skills. Then in 2001, with the help of some very supportive parents, we formed a boys AAU/competitive "travel" basketball team. By having a vision and stressing the fundamentals, we eventually went to the nationals on a perennial basis.
Four years ago, my wife and I decided that with all of the athletes we see, examine, and counsel, combined with our passion for sports, we needed to take sports vision to the next level. We benchmarked the best college football conditioning programs, witnessed cutting edge training methods, and personally trained with the guru of sports vision training and consultant to the New York Yankees, Dr. Don Tieg. Then we set out building a dedicated sports vision training facility and staffed it with the best trainers we could find.
As we have begun training athletes in advanced methods of performance and visual processing, we have already started to see results in their athletic confidence. One by one, we are building the vision Susan and I had of helping athletes improve by slowing the game visually.
